This weekend our our head coach Brad Wendes has been invited to work with Disney to promote the new Jungle Book movie.
A selection of Freerunners and Parkour coaches from around the UK were hand-picked to recreate a Jungle on the South Bank in London. The event really was a “who’s who” of UK parkour practitioners, including Tim Shieff, Daniel Ilabacca, Scott Jackson, Alex Potts & Robbie Griffith.
The aim of the event was to have freerunners performing on a jungle rig (designed and built by Martin Tsang from Airborn Academy) with the addition of two coached areas where children and adults can be taught Parkour fundamentals by some of the top coaches in the UK.
It was refreshing to see that Disney did their homework on who to invite along, they even contacted Parkour UK directly for advice on who should run the coached areas.
All in all this was one of the best organised and executed Parkour events we’ve ever had the pleasure of being part of.
Shouldn’t expect anything less from Disney!
